Isoflavones are said to lower cholesterol and can also help to suppress the production of stress proteins in the cells.

Black cohosh is another natural menopause treatment. It is said to offer short term relief and can help relieve symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats. It is also said to treat painful menstruation, osteoporosis, irritability and premenstrual syndrome. Dong Quai is a Chinese herb that is used to treat premenstrual syndrome, menstrual cramps as well as menopausal symptoms.

Red clover is also said to relieve hot flashes. Chaste berry also referred to as the monk’s pepper, Indian spice or wild pepper is said to be helpful as well. People use it to relieve breast pain and premenstrual syndrome.
